Wheel sets
Beauty and speed
When you are looking for a new wheel set, both beauty and speed play a role. A set of bicycle wheels not only enhances the appearance of your road bike or MTB, but more importantly: it provides less air resistance, it increases driving comfort and improves control over the bike. From a lightweight carbon wheel set to an extremely strong aluminum version, you can find them here.

A wheel with high or low velge
Bicycle wheels can differ from each other in many areas. For example, the way the spokes are placed, whether it is an open or closed wheel, the preparation on the rear wheel (or the body ), but the most important are the materials used and the height of the rim. High rims make it easier to achieve a high speed, but are slightly less comfortable, more wind sensitive and have a slightly worse steering behavior.
Clinchers versus tubulars
Clincher Clinchers are the most common and very suitable for training and recreational riders. In a clincher both an inner and outer tire is attached. With this type of wheels it is therefore possible to replace the inner tube when it is leaking. For those who do not have a material car at their disposal, a clincher wheel is the best choice. Tubular Tubular wheels are pure competition tires. The rim and tire are one. The tubular bicycle tire is glued to the rim using special glue or double-sided adhesive tape. Tubulars are slightly lighter than clinchers. In the event of a puncture, the entire wheel must be replaced instead of just the bicycle tire.
A Campagnolo- versus a Shimano body
The many wheel sets and rear wheels that are available on Frank have different preparations (body): this can be Shimano or Campagnolo. The body is the part that is attached to the hub (rear axle / hub). The cassette of the road bike or MTB is attached to it. The annoying thing is that these bodies are not interchangeable. That is why it is important in advance that you choose a specific preparation. If you already have Campagnolo parts (cassette), a Campagnolo body must be selected. If you have Shimano parts, then you obviously have a Shimano preparation.
