“After severe frustration with several relatively expensive modern can openers – the 'two-handled scissors' kind with a hand-driven revolving mechanism – we looked for a Fiskars design since we know from long experience that their products are extremely well designed and reliable, but found that their only can opener is the old-fashioned 'camping' style – a simple small hook that cuts through the lid in a series of 'plunges' as the can is turned with the other hand. Better a simple and utterly reliable device than a snazzy smart-looking one that doesn't do the job. The Fiskars does exactly what it is designed to do and does it well. (We'd still also like to find a 'modern' design that actually works!)”
