Bresser Lyra
The Bresser Lyra is a refractor telescope (also called a refractor) and an excellent choice for the novice astronomer. The telescope comes with an equatorial mount (instead of an altazimuth) that usually only the more expensive telescopes come with. You will also receive 4 eyepieces, namely 3 Kellner eyepieces and a Barlow lens through which you're able to further zoom in on your observations.

A product does not sell itself

Outstanding product at a topnotch price. Delivery turned out to be a drama in the end. Found Thursday 27/11. Not available. Called expert shop (E.S.) still available. Ordered and paid for at the site. Expected time of delivery after consultation and for security reasons set for the Saturday following that week. We said that we were going to celebrate Sinterklaas. Not received. It was promised on Saturday by Sint; then 5/12. Vergeetpiet had forgotten it in the store. On Monday I called E.S. myself to find out where is was (could not be reached in the weekend); supplier error it seemed. Happily it was received on 5/12, pfff.

Pluses
  • A superb product in a few words.
Downsides
  • Supply
  • You have to read all the booklets multiple times in order to get it (and I even have a university degree)
