Measure wind speed and wind direction
With an anemometer, or anemometer, the wind speed can easily be determined. The best known form of the anemometer is the model with three or four 'scoops' that begin to turn when the wind comes up against it. The higher the wind speed, the faster the meter will turn. In addition to the wind gauge that uses scoops, the ultrasonic anemometer is becoming increasingly popular. This type of anemometer uses the propagation speed of the sound, which changes with the wind speed. With this so-called ultrasonic principle, the wind direction can also be determined.
