Professional catadioptric telescope with ACF optics
The Meade 8" LX90-ACF is a catadioptric telescope with a lens diameter of 254 millimetres. The large mirror in the telescope provides a long focal length of 2500 millimetres, while the large diameter of the lens provides a high light output. Because Meade uses a larger mirror than usual in this LX90-ASF telescope, this telescope has a striking sharp and bright image. The Meade Ultra-High Transmission Coating (UHTC) also provides an even clearer image. The versatile telescope can be used for deep sky-observations as well as for observing planets, moon and earth. Please note that with land observation, a diagonal is required to rotate the image upright, this eyepiece is not included with the telescope.
AudioStar and GoToSar
The Meade 10" LX90-ACF can automatically locate more than 30,000 objects by the GoTo system, so you don't have to search for the desired object yourself anymore. The telescope also gives you, with the help of its GPS, a tour of the most spectacular places in the universe. Thanks to the Sony GPS receiver, the AudioStar technology is quite precise, this system can even be updated free of charge via the Meade website.
The Meade 10" LX90-ACF is equipped with a tracking system. With the slew speed, the user can quickly adjust the telescope direction manually to bring or keep an object in the middle of the field of view. This slew speed is adjustable from 1 to 7 degrees per second.
Photograph earthly objects, the moon, stars or planets with this telescope. The Meade 10" LX90-ACF is ideally suited for astrophotography.
