“I have been playing with a pair of original Pure Drives ('The Roddick Racket') for 13 years. Wanted a slightly smaller grip (5 to 4). Was intrigued by promotion wording about the new anti torsion frame.
Put in my usual string off a 200m reel I have (Head Rip Control). These were the first rackets I have purchase unstrung. Strings have gone a little slack very quickly ( I have 58-59lbs for touch). Do not know whether this is a symptom of a 'virgin' frame.
Like the original, a good all-round racket, nicely balanced for ground shots. Not a massive serving nor smashing racket. Yet to feel the advantage of the highly acclaimed make-up of the frame.”
