Zoffoli Giunone Barglobe

The map of this globe is a careful reproduction of a 17th century map, designed by P. Duval D’Abbeville. D’Abbeville was one of the greatest cartographers of his time. He worked at the court of Louis XIV, the king of France, for many years. Although its exact date is unknown, this map was made between 1647 and 1683. The globe is decorated with several paintings of ships, animals, and buildings. It includes the names of all cities that were considered important in those days. The inside of the globe is decorated with classic images of the zodiac signs.
